Heute habe ich nach Langem mal wieder ein Rezept für euch.
Neulich habe im WWW ein Video mit einem Rezept für ein leckeres Blätterteig Hot Dog gesehen.
Ich zeigte es meinem Großen und er war sofort begeistert. Das musste natürlich unbedingt nachgemacht werden.
Zutaten:
Und so geht's:
1. Den Blätterteig ausbreiten und die Würstchen in der Mitte platzieren. Hier habe ich 6 Würstchen nebeneinander gelegt, die anderen beiden gedrittelt und oben dran gelegt.
2. Dann die Würstchen dick mit dem Ketchup (Senf mögen wir alle nicht) bestreichen und den Käse darauf legen.
(Ihr könnt auch erst den Käse auf den Teig legen und dann die Würstchen drauf)
Die nächsten beiden Schritte haben wir weggelassen:
Als nächstes würde eine Schicht Gewürzgurkenscheiben folgen (so viele man möchte).

Zum Schluss kämen dann noch Röstzwiebeln drauf.
3. Jetzt wird der überstehende Blätterteig an beiden Seiten im gleichen Abstand schräg eingeschnitten, so dass sich Teigstreifen bilden.
Da ich vergessen habe vorher zu knipsen, sind hier Schritt 1 - 3 zusammengefasst:
4. Nun faltet man im Wechsel den Teig über die Füllung, damit die Flechtoptik entsteht:
Ganz wichtig: nicht vergessen die Enden zu Schließen!!!
5. Vor dem Backen bestreicht man den Teig mit dem verquirlten Ei:
Wer möchte kann hier nochmals Röstzwiebeln darüber streuen.
6. Dann geht es ab in den Ofen: ca. 20 Minuten bei 200° (die Zeit kann je nach Backofen variieren).
Und fertig ist das XXL Blätterteig Hot Dog:
Jetzt wird der Zopf in dicke Scheiben geschnitten und kann serviert werden:
Je nach Lust und Laune könnt ihr noch weitere Zutaten hinzufügen (Bacon, Mayonaise, Champignons, Ananas...)
Leider kann ich das Video, welches ich gesehen habe, hier nicht verlinken, aber ich habe ein ähnliches gefunden:
Der Zopf kann natürlich auch süß gefüllt werden (Sahne, Früchte, Pudding etc.) und ist so auch als leckerer Nachtisch oder zum Kaffee bestens geeignet.
